Webuild is a sponsor of the prestigious World Science Festival Brisbane (WSFB). 

 Collaborating with Queensland Museum, in 2024, Webuild has taken the role of main stage sponsor of the City of Science, an action-packed program that encourages the whole family to discover the fun of science. 

 As one of the largest celebrations of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in the southern hemisphere, WSFB explores the pivotal role STEM plays in shaping modern life and addressing global concerns. 

Through this partnership, Webuild aims to inspire curiosity, spark creativity, and build a passion for STEM amongst individuals of all ages and backgrounds. 

World Science Festival initiatives

Now in its 9th year, the annual flagship Brisbane festival is complemented by World Science Festival Queensland, a program of regional engagement delivered throughout the year with event centres including Toowoomba, Chinchilla, Ipswich, Townsville, and Gladstone later in the year.  

At the heart of the World Science Festival 2024 are several cornerstone initiatives: 

• Curiocity: Interactive displays positioned throughout Southbank and Brisbane CBD invited attendees to explore and engage with innovative scientific concepts. 
• School STEM Programs: Developed for students from pre-primary to year 10, these programs aim to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. 
• Industry Breakfasts: Bringing together leaders from various sectors to discuss the latest advancements in STEM and their impact on society. 
• Webuild City of Science: A community activation that encourages participation and discovery among people of all ages. Here, attendees were able to explore many of the exciting projects we’re delivering to safeguard the past and build the future.
• Social Science: An event targeting young adults aged 18-30, in collaboration with universities, focusing on STEM careers and opportunities.
