Webuild is at the forefront of the global transport sector, delivering sustainable mobility solutions designed for the cities of tomorrow.

As a global leader in sustainable infrastructure projects, we specialise in developing advanced transport networks that connect people, improve daily commutes, and protect the environment. Our expertise spans a range of sustainable mobility markets including light and high-speed railways, subways, roads, highways, ports, waterways, and airports.

A legacy of transformative projects

With over 200 sustainable mobility projects completed across the globe, our extensive portfolio is a testament to our commitment to delivering infrastructure for a sustainable future. By leveraging innovative engineering solutions, we create infrastructure that serves millions of passengers daily, optimising efficiency and safety.

Each infrastructure project we deliver is developed with the environment in mind. Through innovative design and construction methods, we have made significant strides in lowering energy consumption and carbon footprints across all aspect of the project lifecycle.

Leading the way in Australia

In Australia, we are currently delivering several city-shaping sustainable mobility projects that have been designed to not only meet today’s needs but also support Australia’s growth and sustainability objectives well into the future.

We harness innovative solutions to make sustainable transportation a reality.

Sustainable infrastructure is the foundation of resilient, thriving communities. As part of our commitment to protect the environment, we carefully assess the impact of every project and adopt strategies to minimise our footprint. Every project we undertake is an opportunity to make a positive impact and bring people closer to a greener, more sustainable world.

Transformative infrastructure projects in Melbourne

Webuild, leader of the Terra Verde joint-venture, is delivering the design and construction of the Tunnels North contract for Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East, a project that will transform public transport in Melbourne amid strong population growth in the coming years.

SRL, of which the East section is a part, will improve travel efficiency for more than 80% of Melburnians and take more than 600,000 cars off the roads every day.

In the same city, Webuild is delivering the North East Link Primary Package as part of the Spark Consortium. The North East Link is the largest private-public partnership for an infrastructure project in Australia, and it has a strong focus on sustainability.

The project involves the construction of twin three-lane tunnels approximately 6.5 kilometres long. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria, providing an essential link in the city’s freeway network, reducing congestion and travel times for tens of thousands of motorists. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing trave times by up to 35 minutes for commuters.

Delivering one of WA’s most successful projects

Webuild delivered the design and construction of the Forrestfield Airport Link railway line connecting Perth's eastern suburbs with the existing suburban rail network and the airport.

The Forrestfield-Airport Link was the first Webuild’s rail project in Western Australia to achieve the highest classification, a Leading Rating through the As Built Rating system, delivering a sustainable legacy for the State.

Completed in October 2022, this award-winning project, has transformed transportation in Perth, generating 20,000 passenger trips on the network every day, reducing road traffic, and reducing travelling times to the city centre by over 50% - from 45 minutes, down to just 20 minutes.

Connecting Sydney communities through sustainable transport

Webuild as part of the Parklife Metro Consortium is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport Project.

The project involves the delivery of six stations between the St Marys interchange station and the Bradfield Station, as well as the provision of 12 new metro trains, core rail systems and a stabling and maintenance facility. Once everything has been completed, the consortium will operate and maintain the line for 15 years.
